  • A PALCO Network Engineer will design, develop, and implement cost effective methods testing network equipment in a high mix, high volume environment, while creating and maintaining test related processes and procedures according to Department and Customer requirements. In addition, the position requires troubleshooting and maintaining network.

    Job duties:

    • Ability to lift, carry, and move all components of PC workstations, servers, network equipment, peripherals, and other ancillary equipment
    • Familiar with operating network analysis software such as Wireshark
    • This person will help implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain test networks as set forth below
    • Sustains the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring networking activity and maintaining existing equipment
    • Installs, maintains and evaluates network equipment and communications

    Responsibilities:

    The Network Engineer will also write detailed test plans and maintenance procedures, all while testing operational work instructions and procedures. This must be performed through executing structured problem-solving efforts and maintaining test labor standards and capacity analysis for all products. The candidate must effectively and clearly communicate to management all project status, identify and drive test process improvements to closure of project, and identify and communicate product software and hardware deficiencies to all customers.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of an associate degree from an accredited college in electronics or telecommunications.
    • Minimum of five years’ experience installing and maintaining network equipment, provisioning customer circuits, and provisioning transport circuits
    • Must be a US citizen
  • The data center hardware technician will be part of an infrastructure delivery and test team that is responsible for installation, technical support, and hardware testing in a data center environment.

    Job duties and responsibilities:

    • Installation and maintenance of communication systems
    • Hardware troubleshooting skills with comfort working in a data center environment
    • Manage and reply to customer support requests via support ticket, live chat, and/or phone.
    • Effective and clear communication to management on status of projects
    • Travel to remote sites for Installation and maintenance of communication systems when required
    • Ability to work under pressure (urgent problems, deadlines, changing priorities)
    • Identifying and driving test and process improvements to closure
    • Ability to install (and remove) racks, shelving, power strips, rails, and cabling within a data center.
    • Identifying and communicating product software and hardware deficiencies to customer

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fields
    • Familiarity with configuring telecommunications equipment.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be a US Citizen.
  • A PALCO Executive Manager will drive revenue growth by building relationships, architecting business solutions, and acquiring new clients.  The position requires an understanding of the returns management processes and needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) operating in the telecommunications, networking, and/or enterprise computing space.

    Job duties and responsibilities:

    • Generate revenue by acquiring OEM clients
    • Meet or exceed quantified pipeline and sales targets
    • Complete RFP and RFI responses; research and data collection will be required
    • Develop proactive proposals
    • Attend face-to-face industry events and sales meetings
    • Gather data for quotations
    • Submit data to leadership for review and analysis
    • Participate in regular meetings to help prioritize customer requirements
    • Track client and industry trends
    • Develop strategies to reach and expand customer base
    • Maintain client communication
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance messaging and improve marketing campaigns

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in business, electronics, or a related field
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with high value, business-to-business sales
    • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Experience using a CRM tool such as Salesforce.com, HubSpot, or Zoho
    • Experience in telecom, networking, or enterprise computing industries
    • Must be a US citizen
  • Performs non-routine and complex component level repair. Conducts tests or experiments, analyze results and modifies equipment to improve repair performance. Familiar with a variety of related test equipment to perform hardware and software diagnostics in the troubleshooting process. Will perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.

    Job duties and responsibilities:

    • Develop test and repair procedures for products currently being repaired, as well as, for new products received for repair.
    • Research repairs and test requirements for new products.
    • Assist Technicians in difficult test/repair and troubleshooting circumstances.
    • Assist in training new technicians and testers.
    • Evaluate ways to minimize unrepairable product occurrences.
    • Assist Engineering when necessary.
    • Conduct routine repair of Customer products.

    Employee will perform any duties required by PALCO at any PALCO facility. PALCO reserves the right to modify job duties as needed.

    Tools or Equipment used:

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Associates degree and 4 or more years related experience or High school diploma and 6 years related experience.
    • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
    • Hardware and software diagnostics: 4 years (Preferred)
    • Electronics repair: 4 years (Preferred)
    • Driver’s License (Preferred)
    • Strong computer skills, RF Test Station, O-Scope and another electronic test/calibration/measurement equipment, soldering iron

    • Hazard Communication
    • Solder
    • Customer specific training if required
